Reputation Management – Online Reputation Management – Affordable SEO Services

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

It hardly needs to be mentioned that you succeed or fail in your marketing by the amount of trust you generate among your target audience in your brand name. A slight chink in the trust may tell adversely on your reputation as an honest businessman and your sales will start falling immediately.

Another reason for a fall in your reputation may be the smear campaign launched by your competitors against you. They may tarnish your name and your business without any valid reason or fault on your part.

This kind of injustice is a common phenomenon in the internet marketing. Your competitor writes just one article against you and submits it to hundreds of directories. This is where an reputation Management firm becomes significant.

Alternately, your adversary sponsors AdWords ads against your site on the first page of some popular search engine. The ad may be somewhat like this: Be Careful Of This Fraud (keyword). This is sufficient to annul years of hard work put in by you to bring your business to its present level.

Taking steps to maintain and further boost your reputation as an honest businessman in such circumstances is called online reputation management.

One way to persuade your competitor is to request him politely to remove the offending comments and then threaten him with legal action if he still persists. If this tactic also fails, it would be better to fight him out at his own ground, that is, by playing the SEO game with him.

You can try to push the page/site with offensive comments to the second results page of search engine, for example, Google. This can be achieved through several steps;

1. Push other sites that have lower rank than your competitor’s site above it on the Google research page. Assuming the site with the negative comments against you ranks fourth on Google page, you should try to boost the rank of the sites below it to supersede it to a higher rank.

You can do so by applying SEO techniques. You can, for example, add favorable comments on this site. Book mark it in as many social media sites such as Technocrati, Digg, Delicious etc as possible. You may even write positive reviews about it on the home page of your site by placing links at suitable places.

2. Ask someone you know who commands authority for his site to write a good review for your site and publish the same on your home page saying: What others are saying about us.

3. Create new content and syndicate it through articles, blogs, newsletters, etc for seoing your own site. You may also submit the content for syndication through RSS feeds. In this way you can indirectly persuade the audience to ignore the comments against your site.

4. Create new sub-domains or sister domains of your site. Google often considers the sub-domains as different sites, but they command the same authority as the primary domain. Post preferably new content on the sub-domain site. You need not fill it with hundreds of pages. Just 10-12 pages should suffice.

The Businessman’s Guide to Success – Dare to Dream

Saturday, July 30th, 2011

Note: Whether you are a dentist engaging in online dental web site marketing or a restaurant owner looking to drum up more customers in a slow economy, you must engage fully in the simple act of imagination.

Kids are cheerful because they have lives that are full of imagination.  They imagine going to the circus, eating candy, and building a castle.

A business owner can only achieve what he can imagine!!

Let me give you the hierarchy of dreaming.

Each person involved in a business should be able to dream, but things will be so much better if you have a goal maker or “Chief Dreamer” in the workplace.

It goes like this:

Becoming a boss, entrepreneur, or even an internet dental marketing consultant starts with the fact the person first imagined this as something he wants.

This is just what I’m talking about.  Before anything can happen, you have to dream it up first.

However, when the business is open and customers start coming in—everyone, including the owner, gets busy. That is good—in fact it is what the new business owner has dreamed up before.

Often times, these dreams or the imagination was formed over a very long time, sometimes beginning as young as only a few years old.

But here is where the trouble starts and the dreaming ends. Well, actually the dreaming ends and that is why the trouble starts.

The goal-maker is too busy making sure billing is done. Regulations of his profession are complied with and the staff in general does what they are supposed to do otherwise NO profits at all will come in.

The rat race has started; overhead is very high from competition, expansion is sluggish, production is los from too many staff, and poor planning causes a lot of waste despite all your efforts of running a tight ship.

Stress levels rise and the dream you had looks like it’s not going to make it.  What happened?

There is too much work to be able to dream and to implement the dreams.

What usually happens is that the office manager really is only the best person for all the jobs and she/he is just doing that. Your office manager has little or no time to manage because she/he is doing the actual work. Sometimes they call it ‘trouble-shooting’. The only reason too much trouble-shooting is needed is because of lack of organization. Also called ‘no real managing’ going on.

Of course not, the manager has no time because he is doing the actual work.

The manager, the owner, and other employees are only mechanically working and not imagining new futures.

Please do realize that I said imagining new futures, which is infinitely more important than imagining solutions to existing problems.

Here is what my favorite Formula One car racer from Austria, Jochen Rind, once said in an interview at a time when he had not yet won a single F1 race, despite having participated in quite a few.

He was asked what his goals are for the next season would be. His response was, “To be the world champion”. The reporter counters, you have not even won a race yet, wouldn’t it be wise to first set the goal at winning a race? Jochen Rind answered, if I win the world championship, I am sure that I will also have won a race or two.

He ended up winning the championship.

The moral of the story is that most small business owners and practitioners work too hard and give themselves no time to dream and set goals.

Remember: Whether you are a dental marketing expert or a small business owner trying to make lots of money for your profession, dare to imagine and dare to dream, as you once have.

The Way to Decide If PopUps are a Good Idea

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

You’ve made a decision that you might want to learn about something, so you do a Google search. You then choose one of the results that Google supplies and click on it. Then you receive an unfortunate surprise when the page loads. Instead of finding the page that is supposed to have the content you need, you are forced to cope with a pop up. This pop-up is an advertisement and no matter how many times you try and shut it down, it won’t close-unless you type in your e-mail address. Finally you just close your browser completely because you are so frustrated. The site owner has won!

There is a good rationale that so many people detest pop ups. They are really infuriating. They intrude on your web use. The ones that play audio might end up getting you in trouble with your boss (or someone else in the room). They offer outrageous things. They need your personal information if you want them to go away. Some even decide to put malware and cookies within your computer systems. There aren’t a whole bunch of individuals who actually like to be confronted by these annoying things but so many IMers insist on employing them. Why?

The sad and easy truth is that Internet Marketers use pop-up ads because they work. They get the visitors particular attention. They aid marketers produce e-mail marketing directories. It’s been proven again and again that pop up ads get more opt ins than a typical opt in box put into the sidebar or even into the body of a website. Sometimes even direct sales take place because of them. Unfortunately, these ridiculous web pests actually get the job done and, until someone thinks of something better, most IMers are going to keep using them.

Of course, that doesn’t imply that most Entrepreneurs should continue to use them. What is the actual worth of an e-mail address that you have only picked up through force? Most of the time that individual will decide to opt out of your list once they get their first e-mail. Can your traffic be of high quality when nearly all of it clicks out of your internet site because they are offended by the pop ups assaulting them? Sure you need to generate profits, but is this actually the best way? Couldn’t there be a different option available to those who want to build an e-mail list and sell things?

The truth is just this: if you have a good product or service, you aren’t going to need a pop up if you can present that product well. Work hard at setting up a good product or service so that you won’t have to deal with the frustrating pop ups to do your job for you. Write the sales and splash pages in a persuasive tone. Make your written content and copy so powerful that it can grab your reader’s attention so hard that it never has to let go. The simple truth is that Internet Marketers only find success and online earnings when they make products that others are going to find valuable. No pop up ad can actually change the actual benefit of your product.
